Tom Hammonds Autographs
Tom Hammonds was born on March 27, 1967, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. From a young age, he had a passion for basketball and was determined to make a career out of it. After an impressive high school career at Crestview High School, Hammonds attended Georgia Tech, where he played for the Yellow Jackets from 1985 to 1989.
Hammonds was selected by the Washington Bullets as the ninth overall pick in the 1989 NBA draft. He played for the Bullets for four seasons before being traded to the Charlotte Hornets, where he played for two seasons. In 1996, Hammonds joined the Denver Nuggets, where he played for six seasons. He then played for the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Indiana Pacers before retiring in 2001. During his career, he averaged 5.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, and he was known for his skills as a power forward with a solid outside shot.
After retiring from basketball, Hammonds became an avid drag racer and started racing professionally in 2003. He also became a licensed Chevrolet dealer and is the owner of Tom Hammonds Enterprises, which includes a Chevrolet car dealership and a successful trucking company. Despite his success in other ventures, however, Hammonds is still remembered by many as an accomplished basketball player, and he remains involved in the sport through coaching and youth basketball programs.
