Tom Thibodeau Autographs
Tom Thibodeau is a highly respected basketball coach. Born on January 17, 1958, in New Britain, Connecticut, he grew up in a family that loved basketball, which ultimately led him to play basketball in college. He went to Salem State University in Massachusetts, where he was an excellent player from 1977 to 1981. After graduation, Thibodeau started coaching at Salem State as an assistant coach. This was just the beginning of his illustrious coaching career.
Thibodeau's NBA career began in 1989 when he was hired as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Since then, he has been an assistant coach for many teams, including the San Antonio Spurs, Philadelphia 76ers, and Boston Celtics. However, Thibodeau's greatest success came as a head coach with the Chicago Bulls, where he led the team to five consecutive playoff appearances, including a trip to the Eastern Conference finals in 2011. During his time with the Bulls, he won the NBA Coach of the Year Award in 2011.
In recent years, Thibodeau has been the head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves and the New York Knicks. Although he took some time to settle in with the Timberwolves, he was able to turn the team into a serious playoff contender during his tenure. Most recently, he has been attracting lots of attention for his success with the New York Knicks. He led the team to a 41-31 record during the 2020-21 season and earned enough votes to become the NBA Coach of the Year for the second time in his coaching career.
