Wayne Cooper Autographs

Wayne CooperWayne Cooper is a former NBA player who made a name for himself as a talented big man during his time in the league. Born in 1958 in the small town of Miles City, Montana, Cooper's basketball potential was recognized early on by his high school coach. He went on to attend the University of New Orleans, where he led the Privateers to the school's first-ever NCAA tournament appearance in 1980.
After going undrafted, Cooper signed with the San Antonio Spurs in 1981 and spent the majority of his 13-year NBA career with the team. He was known for his incredible size and strength, standing at 6'10" and weighing over 220 pounds. His height and wingspan also made him a force to be reckoned with on defense, earning him a spot on the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 1986. Cooper's greatest moment in the league came during the 1989 playoffs when he hit a buzzer-beating putback to help the Spurs beat the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
Wayne Cooper retired from the NBA in 1994, finishing his career with over 7,000 points, 5,000 rebounds, and 1,500 blocks. He went on to work in coaching and player development roles for several NBA teams, including the Philadelphia 76ers and the Denver Nuggets. Cooper is remembered as one of the greatest big men of his era and is revered by Spurs fans for his contributions to the team's success in the 1980s and early 1990s.
