Wesley Matthews Autographs
Wesley Matthews Jr. was born on October 14, 1986, in San Antonio, Texas. He went to James Madison Memorial School in Madison, Wisconsin, where he began playing basketball. In high school, Matthews was named the 2005 Wisconsin Player of the Year and led his team to the Division 1 state championship. He then attended Marquette University, where he continued to excel in basketball. In his four years at Marquette, he played in 135 games and averaged 12.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
After going undrafted in the 2009 NBA draft, Matthews joined the Utah Jazz as a free agent. He played for the Jazz for two seasons before signing with the Portland Trail Blazers in 2010. During his time with the Blazers, Matthews established himself as a reliable three-point shooter and an excellent defender. In the 2013-14 season, he set the Trail Blazers' franchise record for most three-pointers made in a season with 201. Matthews played for the Dallas Mavericks from 2015-2019, where he averaged 12.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. In 2019, he became a member of the Indiana Pacers and played for them until 2021.
Throughout his career, Matthews has been recognized for his toughness, work ethic, and leadership on and off the court. He has also been active in the community, helping to raise awareness and funds for various charitable causes.
