Willis Reed is a former American professional basketball player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest centers in the history of the sport. Born on June 25th, 1942, Reed spent his youth in Hico, Louisiana, where he honed his skills on the local basketball court. In 1960, he moved to Grambling, Louisiana, to attend college where he played for the Grambling Tigers.
