Arthur C. Clarke was an English author, scientist, and inventor, who is widely recognized as one of the greatest science-fiction writers of all time. Born in Somerset, England in 1917, Clarke spent most of his childhood in the countryside and later pursued his education in London. After completing his higher education, he started his career as a technical editor and began publishing his stories in various magazines.
