Tim Green is a former American football player and author who played in the National Football League (NFL) for eight years. He was born on December 16, 1963, in Liverpool, New York. Green developed a passion for football as a child and was a standout player at Liverpool High School. He went on to play college football at Syracuse University, where he was a consensus All-American defensive tackle.
In 1986, Green was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the first round and played for them for eight years. During his career, he recorded 33.5 sacks, four interceptions, and three touchdowns. Green was known for his aggressive play and was named to the NFL All-Rookie team in 1986. Despite suffering numerous injuries throughout his career, he played in 120 consecutive games before retiring after the 1993 season.
After retiring from football, Green pursued a career in law and earned a law degree from Syracuse University. He also began writing novels, many of which are based on his experiences as a football player. Green is a New York Times bestselling author and has written over 40 books, including children's books and thrillers. His football career and love for the sport have influenced much of his writing, and he remains a prominent figure in the football community.
