Tom Walker Autographs

Tom Walker was an American baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1972 to 1977. Born on September 14, 1948, in San Francisco, California, Walker began his baseball career playing for the Santa Clara Broncos at Santa Clara University. After just one year with the team, Walker was drafted in the third round of the 1969 MLB draft by the Montreal Expos. He quickly made his way through the minor leagues and made his major league debut with the Expos in 1972.
Walker spent five years in the majors, playing for the Montreal Expos, St. Louis Cardinals, and Houston Astros. Throughout his career, he appeared in 161 games, pitching 385 innings with a record of 25-18 and a 4.58 earned run average (ERA). He was primarily used as a reliever and had 14 saves over the course of his career. While his statistics were not extraordinary, Walker was known for his exceptional control on the mound and his ability to pitch in high-pressure situations.
After retiring from baseball, Walker became a coach and spent several years working in the San Francisco Giants' organization. He eventually returned to Santa Clara University, his alma mater, where he served as the head coach of the baseball team from 1988 to 2017. During his tenure, he led the Broncos to 12 NCAA appearances and was named the West Coast Conference Coach of the Year in 1992, 1998, 2000, and 2010. Tom Walker's dedication to the sport of baseball and his contributions as a coach have left a lasting impact on the game and on the countless players he mentored over the years.
