Aaron Mellette Autographs
Aaron Mellette is a former American football wide receiver who was born on December 28, 1989, in Sanford, North Carolina. He attended Southern Lee High School where he played football, basketball, and ran track. Despite not being heavily recruited, Mellette earned a scholarship to play football at Elon University.
At Elon, Mellette became one of the top receivers in the Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA). He finished his four-year career with 304 receptions for 4,254 yards and 44 touchdowns, breaking numerous school and conference records. Mellette's standout performance in his senior year earned him numerous accolades, including being named a three-time All-American and the 2011 Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
Despite his impressive college career, Mellette went undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft. He signed with the Baltimore Ravens as a free agent but was later released due to injuries. Mellette also had brief stints with the Indianapolis Colts and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but was unable to secure a roster spot. After being waived by the Buccaneers in 2015, Mellette retired from the NFL and pursued a career in coaching.
