Alexander Wright Autograph

Alexander Wright is a retired American football wide receiver who made a name for himself in the National Football League (NFL) in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Born on October 19, 1967, in Dallas, Texas, Wright attended the University of Auburn, where he played college football for the Auburn Tigers. Wright quickly made an impact in the NFL as a kick and punt returner for the Cowboys. In his rookie season, he returned 21 kicks for 551 yards and scored a touchdown. Wright's blazing speed and elusive moves made him a valuable asset on special teams. He also performed as a wide receiver, catching 17 passes for 258 yards and a touchdown in 1990. His best season as a receiver came in 1991 when he recorded 36 receptions for 639 yards and 6 touchdowns. Wright spent four seasons with the Dallas Cowboys before moving on to play for the Los Angeles Raiders in 1994 and the St. Louis Rams in 1995.

Despite his undeniable athletic talent, Wright's football career was plagued by injuries and inconsistency in the later years. He was forced to retire in 1996 due to a neck injury. Nevertheless, his electrifying performances on the field provided many memorable moments for football fans, and he will always be recognized as one of the most exciting kick and punt returners of his time. Today, Alexander Wright works as an entrepreneur and motivational speaker, inspiring the next generation of athletes to follow in his footsteps.
