Born on December 6, 1925, in Stamford, Connecticut, Robustelli began his NFL career in 1951 when he was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the 19th round of the NFL draft. He quickly established himself as one of the best defensive ends in the league, earning eight Pro Bowl selections (1951-1956, 1958, and 1961) while playing for the Rams and the New York Giants.
Robustelli is best known for his time with the New York Giants, where he played from 1956 to 1964.
