Anthony Munoz Autographs
Anthony Munoz is a retired American football offensive lineman, who played professionally in the National Football League (NFL) for thirteen seasons. Munoz was born on August 19, 1958, in Ontario, California, and his family later relocated to Selma, California. He was a standout athlete in both football and basketball at Chaffey High School in Ontario, which led to his recruitment by several colleges, including the University of Southern California (USC) and the University of Notre Dame. Munoz ultimately chose to attend the University of Southern California, where he played college football for the USC Trojans.
Munoz was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals as the third overall pick in the 1980 NFL Draft. He started his professional career with the Bengals and went on to become one of the most successful offensive linemen in the history of the league. Throughout his career, Munoz played in 185 games, was a 9-time First-team All-Pro, was named to 11 Pro Bowls, and won the 1988 NFL Offensive Lineman of the Year award. He was also selected as the Offensive Lineman of the Year by the NFL Alumni Association three times in his career. Munoz was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1998 and the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team in 1990.
Munoz's excellence on the field extended beyond his football career. In 1989, Munoz founded the Anthony Munoz Foundation, which focuses on supporting local area charities and spreading literacy awareness. He also served on the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports under three different U.S. Presidents. Munoz is widely regarded as one of the greatest offensive linemen of all time and left a lasting impact on the NFL, as well as the community he served.
