Autry Denson Autographs
Autry Denson is a former American football running back who played professionally from 1999 to 2004 in the National Football League (NFL) for the Miami Dolphins and the Chicago Bears. Denson was born on December 15, 1976, in Mississippi and went to high school in Louisiana. He earned All-American honors as a tailback at Notre Dame University, where he set the school record for rushing yards with 4,318 in his college career.
Denson was drafted by the Dolphins in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL Draft, and he played two seasons in Miami. He then moved to the Bears, where he played three years before he was released before the 2004 season. During his NFL career, Denson appeared in 44 games, had 118 carries for 451 yards, and scored two touchdowns. He also caught 39 passes for 371 yards and two more touchdowns.
After his football career, Denson entered coaching, starting as a running backs coach at Bethune-Cookman University in 2006. He then moved to South Carolina State University, where he coached from 2008 to 2009 before moving on to Miami (Ohio). He served as special teams coordinator and running backs coach at Notre Dame from 2015 to 2018. In 2019, he was appointed the head football coach at Charleston Southern University, a role he has held since then. Denson is known for his passion for football and his dedication to mentoring and developing young players on and off the field.
