Bill Bradley Autographs
Bill Bradley, born on July 28, 1943, in Crystal City, Missouri, is a legendary figure in American basketball and politics. He rose to prominence as a star player at Princeton University, where he was a three-time All-American and the 1965 Associated Press Player of the Year. Bradley led Princeton to three consecutive Ivy League championships and a Final Four appearance in 1965, setting numerous scoring records along the way.
After college, Bradley delayed his professional career to study at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar. He joined the New York Knicks in 1967 and played for them until his retirement in 1977. During his ten-year NBA career, Bradley was a key member of the Knicks' championship teams in 1970 and 1973. Known for his intelligence and team-first approach, he averaged 12.4 points and 3.4 assists per game over 742 NBA games.
Bradley's basketball achievements earned him induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1983. His number 24 jersey was retired by the New York Knicks in 1984, cementing his legacy as one of the franchise's all-time greats. Bradley's impact on the game extended beyond his playing career, as he authored several books on basketball and life, including the sports classic "Life on the Run".
