BJ Raji Autographs
B.J. Raji is a former American football defensive tackle who has played six seasons with the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League (NFL). He was born on July 11, 1986, in New Jersey and was raised in Washington Township. Raji played football in high school, where he was named New Jersey Defensive Player of the Year by the Newark Star-Ledger.
Raji attended Boston College, where he played for the Eagles from 2004 to 2008. He was a two-time All-ACC selection and a finalist for the Lombardi Award and the Bronko Nagurski Trophy in his senior season. Raji was drafted ninth overall by the Packers in the 2009 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he played in all 16 regular-season games, recording 25 tackles and one sack. He had a breakout year in 2010 when he helped the Packers win Super Bowl XLV, recording six tackles and two sacks in the championship game. Raji was named a Pro Bowler that season and again in 2011.
Injuries and declining performance ultimately led to Raji's retirement from the NFL in 2015. During his six seasons with the Packers, he played in 93 regular-season games, recorded 179 tackles, and had 11.5 sacks. Raji was known for his quickness and agility, despite weighing over 330 pounds, and was considered one of the best nose tackles in the league.
