Bob Golic is a renowned former professional American football player born on October 26, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio. Golic started his football career at St. Joseph High School in Cleveland, where he excelled at football and wrestling. He then proceeded to the University of Notre Dame, where he became one of the most dominant defensive players in the college football scene. Golic spent his professional career as a defensive tackle and nose tackle for several NFL teams, including the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Raiders, and Miami Dolphins. He played with the Cleveland Browns from 1982 to 1988, where he became a fan favorite due to his consistency and aggressive playing style. In 1985, he earned his first and only Pro Bowl selection with the Browns. He spent his final two years of play with the Los Angeles Raiders, and in 1993, Golic retired from football.

After retiring from football, Golic ventured into several career paths, including broadcasting, acting, and even wrestling. He worked as a co-host on the show "Mike & Mike" on ESPN Radio with fellow co-host Mike Greenberg. Notably, Golic also acted in the television series Saved by the Bell: The College Years, among other TV shows and films. He is also a four-time All-American wrestler and was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1993.
