Bobby Beathard Autograph

Bobby Beathard was born on January 24, 1937, in Zanesville, Ohio. He was a graduate of California Western University, where he played football as a quarterback. After his graduation, he started his coaching career as an assistant coach at the University of Kansas. In 1966, he joined the Miami Dolphins as a scout and helped them to win two Super Bowl titles. Beathard is best known for his tenure as the general manager of the Washington Redskins from 1978 to 1989. During his tenure, the team made five Super Bowl appearances and won three championships. He was known for his ability to draft and develop talent, which helped the team to become one of the most dominant teams in the NFL during that time. He is also credited with building the team that won the 1994 Super Bowl with the San Diego Chargers, where he served as the general manager from 1990 to 2000.
