Bobby Douglass Autographs

Bobby Douglass was born on June 22, 1947, in Austin, Texas, and raised in San Diego, California. He had a successful football career in high school, which paved the way for him to play at the college level. In 1967, Douglass went on to play for the Kansas Jayhawks, where he initially played linebacker but was later switched to quarterback. During his senior year, Douglass threw for over 700 yards and rushed for over 700 yards, becoming the first NCAA player to achieve this feat.
In 1969, Bobby Douglass was drafted by the Chicago Bears as the second overall pick in the second-round of the NFL draft. He became the team's starting quarterback in his rookie year and held onto the position for four seasons. Douglass was known for his impressive running abilities and strong arm. He ended his career with over 10,000 passing yards and over 2,000 rushing yards with 74 touchdowns in total. Despite his athletic prowess, Douglass's career was marred by injuries, which led to his release from the Bears after the 1975 season.
