Brad Kaaya Autographs
Brad Kaaya is a former American football quarterback who played college football for the University of Miami. He was born on September 3, 1995, in Los Angeles, California. Kaaya began his football career at Chaminade College Preparatory School, where he led the team to a 2013 California Division II state title.
In his freshman year at Miami, Kaaya set a school record for most passing yards by a freshman quarterback in the first game of the season. He went on to become the first freshman quarterback in school history to win the starting job for the season opener. Kaaya continued to improve each year, setting school records for most passing yards in a season and career. He also led the Miami Hurricanes to their first bowl win in 10 years in the 2016 Russell Athletic Bowl, throwing for 282 yards and four touchdowns.
After his junior year, Kaaya declared for the NFL draft and was selected in the sixth round by the Detroit Lions in 2017. However, he was cut after the preseason and spent time on the practice squads of the Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts. Kaaya signed with the XFL's Los Angeles Wildcats in 2020 but never played a game before the league shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In March 2021, Kaaya signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as a backup quarterback but was released later that year. While Kaaya did not have a long NFL career, he is still regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in Miami Hurricanes' history.
