Brad Maynard Autographs
Brad Maynard, born in 1974, is a former American football punter who played for several teams throughout his career. After playing high school football in Indiana, Maynard attended Ball State University where he played football for four years. He was selected by the New York Giants in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft, and played for them until 2001. Maynard’s time with the Giants was successful, earning him a reputation as a solid punter and contributing to the team’s appearance in Super Bowl XXXV.
In 2001, Maynard signed with the Chicago Bears and played with them for 10 seasons. In his first year with the Bears, Maynard set a team record for the most punts in a season, with 107. He also proved himself to be exceptionally accurate, breaking the team record for most punts inside the 20-yard line. By the time he retired, Maynard had become the Bears’ all-time leading punter in terms of career punts, career yards, and career punts inside the 20-yard line.
Maynard finished his career with brief stints with the Cleveland Browns and San Diego Chargers before ultimately retiring in 2012. Throughout his 14-year career, Maynard proved himself to be a reliable and consistent player, earning recognition as a two-time Pro Bowler and being named to the 2000s All-Decade Team. Today, Maynard is remembered as one of the most skilled and respected punters in the history of the NFL.
