Bolden started his NFL career in 2012 as an undrafted free agent signing for the New England Patriots. He carved a niche for himself as a reliable backup running back and special teams player, providing crucial depth for the Patriots. He played six seasons for the Patriots, winning two Super Bowl championships in 2014 and 2016 before joining the Miami Dolphins in 2018. In 2019, he signed a one-year extension with the Dolphins and ended up leading the team in rushing yards.

Despite not being the most high-profile player on the field, Bolden's work ethic and versatility helped him gain a reputation as a reliable player in the NFL. He played a vital role in the Patriots' success during his time with them, and his contributions to the game of football, both on and off the field, have not gone unnoticed. Bolden retired from professional football in March 2021, finishing his seven-year NFL career with 2,170 rushing yards, 684 receiving yards, and 24 total touchdowns.
