Buddy Curry Autographs

Buddy Curry was born on June 4th, 1958, in Greenville, South Carolina. He attended Northview High School in Dothan, Alabama, where he began his football career as a linebacker. Curry's success on the field in high school earned him a scholarship to play for the University of North Carolina, where he continued to play as a linebacker. Curry quickly became known for his aggressive style of play and his ability to tackle effectively, finishing his college career with 375 tackles, which is still the second-most in UNC history.
In 1980, Buddy Curry was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the second round of the NFL draft. He quickly established himself as a key player on the Falcons' defense, earning the title of Defensive Rookie of the Year in his first season. Curry continued to play for the Falcons until 1987, amassing a total of 1,231 tackles, which put him second on the Falcons' all-time list. Curry was also known for his leadership skills, serving as the Falcons' team captain during his final four seasons with the team.
After his playing career, Buddy Curry continued to stay involved in football, working as a coach and an announcer. In 2000, he founded a youth football program called "Kids & Pros," which aims to teach young players not only the skills necessary to play the game, but also the values of sportsmanship and teamwork. Curry's commitment to teaching these values to young players has earned him recognition as an important figure in youth sports, and his legacy as a player and a coach continues to inspire new generations of football players.
