Christian Hackenberg Autographs
Christian Hackenberg was born on February 14, 1995, in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. He grew up playing football and was a standout quarterback at Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. He was heavily recruited by top college football programs and eventually committed to Penn State University.
Hackenberg had a stellar college football career at Penn State, starting as a true freshman in 2013. He set several records for the Nittany Lions and was considered one of the top quarterback prospects in the country. In three seasons as the starting quarterback, he threw for over 8,000 yards and 48 touchdowns, leading Penn State to several big wins and a 2014 Pinstripe Bowl victory.
After his junior year in college, Hackenberg declared for the NFL Draft and was selected by the New York Jets in the second round of the 2016 draft. However, his professional career did not go as planned as he struggled to adapt to the NFL and was eventually released by the Jets. He had brief stints with the Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles but did not see much playing time. Despite his struggles at the professional level, Hackenberg remains a talented quarterback who has left his mark on college football history.
