Claude Humphrey Autograph

Claude Humphrey was a former American football defensive end who played for Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 seasons from 1968 to 1981. He was born on June 29, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee. Humphrey was selected as the third overall draft pick by the Atlanta Falcons in the 1968 NFL draft. He quickly established himself as one of the premier defensive ends in the league and was named to six Pro Bowls and All-Pro teams during his career. He was known for his speed, quickness, strength, and ability to stop the run and rush the passer. Humphrey's impact on the field was so significant that he was named to the All-Decade team of the 1970s.

Humphrey retired from football after the 1981 season, but he didn't get inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame until 2014, almost 30 years after his retirement. Humphrey's outstanding career performance of 122 sacks, and 14 fumble recoveries speak to his incredible dominance during his career.
