Cooper Rush Autographs
Cooper Rush is a quarterback who currently plays in the National Football League (NFL). Rush was born on November 21, 1993, in Charlotte, Michigan. Rush played college football at Central Michigan University, where he had an outstanding career, throwing for over 12,000 yards and 90 touchdowns in his four years at the school.
Rush went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft but was signed by the Dallas Cowboys as a free agent. He spent his rookie season as the third-string quarterback for the Cowboys but did not make any appearances on the field. He was promoted to backup quarterback the following year but still did not see much playing time. In 2019, Rush was released by the Cowboys and was then picked up by the New York Giants, where he was signed to their practice squad. He was eventually promoted to the active roster for the last two games of the season but did not play in either game.
In 2020, Rush signed a one-year contract with the Cowboys to be the backup quarterback to Dak Prescott. In Week 5 of the season, Prescott suffered a severe ankle injury that kept him sidelined for the remainder of the year. Rush was then thrust into the starting quarterback position for Week 7 against the Philadelphia Eagles, where he threw for 270 yards and one touchdown in a losing effort. While Rush's performance was not enough to secure a win, the game was considered a solid showing by the young quarterback, and it showcased his potential as a starter in the league.
