Courtney Upshaw Autographs
Courtney Upshaw was born on December 13, 1989, in Eufaula, Alabama. He attended Eufaula High School, where he was a standout linebacker, leading his team to a state championship in his senior year. He earned All-State honors and was ranked as the fifth-best outside linebacker in the country by Rivals.com. Upshaw later went on to play for the University of Alabama, where he became a two-time BCS National Champion. He was a dominant force on defense, recording 141 tackles, 18 sacks, and 1 interception in his college career.
In 2012, Upshaw was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the second round of the NFL Draft. He made an immediate impact on the Ravens defense, helping them win Super Bowl XLVII in his rookie season. Upshaw was known for his versatility, able to play both defensive end and outside linebacker. He spent four seasons with the Ravens, racking up 183 tackles, 7 sacks, and 5 forced fumbles. In 2016, he signed with the Atlanta Falcons, where he played for two seasons before being released in 2018. He finished his NFL career with 219 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 7 forced fumbles.
While Upshaw's NFL career was cut short, he left an indelible mark on the league with his tenacity and leadership. He was a ferocious defender and a player who gave his all every time he stepped on the field. His contributions to the Ravens' Super Bowl victory will forever be remembered by Baltimore fans, and his time in Atlanta helped solidify his reputation as one of the top defensive players of his era.
