Craig Krenzel Autographs
Craig Krenzel is a retired American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) and the Arena Football League (AFL). Born on July 1, 1981, in Upper Arlington, Ohio, Krenzel started his football career in high school where he led his team to win two state championships. He went on to attend Ohio State University where he played for the Ohio State Buckeyes football team, leading them to win the 2003 BCS National Championship. Krenzel gained national popularity for his role in the championship game, where he completed 7 out of 21 passes for 122 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
Krenzel was picked in the 2004 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round. He played for the Bears for two seasons, primarily acting as a backup to starting quarterback Rex Grossman. Krenzel appeared in nine games for the Bears, starting five of them. He threw for 718 yards, three touchdowns, and six interceptions during his time with the team.
After his NFL stint, Krenzel played for the Columbus Destroyers and Grand Rapids Rampage in the AFL before retiring from professional football in 2008. Krenzel's brief NFL career may have been overshadowed by the iconic role he played in leading Ohio State to a national title, but his contributions to the sport cannot be ignored. Despite playing in just nine games in the NFL, Krenzel still made a name for himself as a hardworking and reliable quarterback.
