Earl Louis "Curly" Lambeau was an American Football player and coach born on April 9, 1898, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Lambeau played college football for the University of Notre Dame where he was an end. Later he became a professional football player for the Green Bay Packers after he co-founded the team in 1919. Lambeau was a successful coach for the Green Bay Packers from 1919 to 1949. Under his leadership, the Packers recorded six NFL championships and two Super Bowl titles. Today, Lambeau's legacy as a player and coach is celebrated through the Curly Lambeau Foundation, which provides funding for youth organizations in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
