Curt Warner Autographs
Curt Warner was born on March 18, 1961, in Pineville, West Virginia. He grew up playing football, basketball, and baseball in high school. Warner attended college at Penn State University and became a standout running back for the Nittany Lions. In 1982, he was named the NCAA's Offensive Player of the Year and led Penn State to a national championship. Warner was then selected with the third overall pick in the 1983 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks.
Warner's NFL career got off to a fast start as he won the league's Rookie of the Year award in 1983. He rushed for 1,449 yards and 13 touchdowns that season and was named to the Pro Bowl. Over the course of six seasons with the Seahawks, Warner's best year came in 1986 when he rushed for 1,481 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and helped lead the Seahawks to the playoffs three times. Warner's career was cut short due to injuries, and he retired from the NFL following the 1990 season.
After retiring from football, Warner returned to his hometown in West Virginia and started his own company. He also became a football coach at the local high school and has remained involved in the sport in various roles over the years. In 2009, Warner was named to the College Football Hall of Fame, and his legacy as one of the greatest college football players of all time continues to live on.
