Dalton Keene is a talented American football player. Born on April 30th, 1999, in Littleton, Colorado, he developed a passion for the sport at a young age. Keene attended Chatfield Senior High School, where he played tight end and defensive end for the school football team. In his senior year, he caught 32 passes for 538 yards and nine touchdowns and recorded 20 tackles, five tackles for loss, and four sacks on defense. His outstanding performance earned him a four-star rating from recruiting platforms and a scholarship offer from Virginia Tech.
Keene committed to Virginia Tech in 2017 and joined the football team as a tight end. He played in all 13 games as a true freshman and caught six passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. In his sophomore year, Keene started in all 13 games, recording 21 receptions for 240 yards and three touchdowns. He continued to improve in his junior year, finishing the season with 21 catches for 240 yards and four touchdowns.
Despite injuries that limited his playing time in his senior year, Keene was still able to showcase his talent in the seven games he played. He caught 14 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns, proving to be a reliable target for the team's quarterbacks. Following his senior season, Keene decided to forego his remaining college eligibility and declare for the 2020 NFL Draft. The New England Patriots selected him in the third round, and he continues to play for the team as a tight end. With his remarkable athleticism, strength, and agility, Keene has shown great potential in his NFL career and remains a promising young talent to watch out for.
