Damontae Kazee is a professional American football player born in San Bernardino, California, in the United States of America. He was born on June 5, 1993, and has played as a safety in the National Football League (NFL) since 2017. Kazee started his football journey at Cajon High School in San Bernardino, where he gained an impressive reputation for his skills as a defensive back, recorded 25 tackles, and five interceptions in his junior season alone.
Kazee continued his football career at San Diego State University and played for the San Diego State Aztecs football team from 2013 to 2016. During his college career, he recorded 17 interceptions, 257 tackles, and four sacks leading him to be named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year for two consecutive seasons. In 2016, the Atlanta Falcons chose Kazee in the fifth round of the NFL Draft, and he started his professional career as a backup to Ricardo Allen. Later in the season, after Ricardo Allen was injured, Kazee got his opportunity to start and played excellently, helping the Falcons reach the playoffs.
Kazee continued to impress in the 2018 season, leading the Falcons with seven interceptions and earning his first-ever All-Pro Team selection. He continued to prove his importance in the team's defense for three more seasons before moving on to play for the Dallas Cowboys in 2021. Damontae Kazee has always been an impressive football player from his high school days up to the NFL. He has been able to record impressive stats and prove his worth in each team he has played for in every step of his football career.
