Dan Kreider Autographs
Dan Kreider was born on December 10th, 1977, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He attended Manheim Township High School, where he was a standout as a fullback and linebacker. After graduating in 1995, he went on to play college football at the University of New Hampshire. At UNH, Kreider continued to impress as a fullback, earning All-American honors in both 1998 and 1999. He finished his collegiate career with 1086 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns.
In 2000, Kreider signed as an undrafted free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He quickly established himself as a dominant blocker and special teams player, earning a roster spot and playing in all 16 games his rookie year. Over the next seven seasons with the Steelers, he played in 104 games, primarily as a fullback, but also as a special teams player. He was widely regarded as one of the top blocking fullbacks in the NFL and was an integral part of the Steelers' ground game, which helped lead them to a Super Bowl victory in 2006. Kreider finished his NFL career with short stints with the Rams, Cardinals, and Broncos, retiring in 2008 with a respectable career stat line of 100 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns.
In addition to his impressive career on the field, Kreider was also known for his work off the field. He was involved in a number of charitable endeavors throughout his career, including the Steelers' annual charity fashion show and the NFL's Play 60 program. Following his retirement from football, he continued to work in charitable organizations and currently serves as the Director of Development for the Lancaster Cancer Center in Pennsylvania. Dan Kreider was a hard-working, dedicated player and an all-around great person both on and off the field.
