Dane Fletcher is a former American football linebacker who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New England Patriots during his career in the National Football League. He was born on September 14, 1986, in Bozeman, Montana, and grew up in a family that was passionate about football. Fletcher made his NFL debut with the New England Patriots in the 2010 season, after joining the team as an undrafted free agent. His rookie season saw him play in all 16 games, earning him a reputation as a versatile and hardworking linebacker. Throughout his Patriots career, Fletcher was primarily used as a special teams player, and he primarily saw playing time on defense as a backup. Despite this, he was recognized for his contributions to the team, and in 2011, he was named the Patriots' special teams player of the year.
