Daniel Thomas is an American football player who was born on October 29, 1987, in Hilliard, Florida. He played college football at Kansas State University where he earned All-American honors and was named the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year. In 2011, Thomas was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the second round and played for them until 2014 when he was released due to injury.
During his time with the Dolphins, Thomas was known for his powerful running style and his ability to break tackles. He played in 52 games and rushed for over 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns. His best season came in 2012 when he rushed for 325 yards and 4 touchdowns in 12 games. However, injuries hampered his career, and he struggled to stay healthy throughout his time in the NFL.
After being released by the Dolphins, Thomas had brief stints with the Chicago Bears and the Dallas Cowboys, but he was never able to recapture the success he had in Miami. He retired from football in 2016 and began working as a high school football coach. Despite his short career, Daniel Thomas made his mark on the NFL with his powerful running style and his ability to score touchdowns in crucial situations.
