Darryl Tapp is a retired American football player who spent 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Tapp was born on September 13, 1984 in Portsmouth, Virginia, and attended Deep Creek High School where he played football as a defensive end. He played for the Seahawks from 2006 to 2009, recording 18 sacks and cementing his place as a competitive defensive player. Tapp then went on to play for a variety of teams including the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions, and finally the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he ended his career in 2017.
