Dave Krieg Autographs
Dave Krieg was a prominent American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 19 seasons. He was born on October 20, 1958, in Iola, Wisconsin, and was raised in Milton, Wisconsin. During his high school years, Krieg showed great potential in football as a quarterback and continued to excel in college at Milton College and later at the University of Milton, where he led the team to the NCC championship in 1980.
Krieg began his professional football career in 1980 when he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Seattle Seahawks. He played for the Seahawks for 11 seasons and quickly established himself as their starting quarterback, leading them to their first playoff appearance in 1983. In his time with the team, Krieg made three Pro Bowl appearances and set several team records, including most career touchdown passes, most career passing yards, and most career completions.
Throughout his career, Krieg played for several other teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs, the Detroit Lions, the Arizona Cardinals, the Chicago Bears, and the Tennessee Oilers (now the Tennessee Titans). He retired in 1998 with a total of 38,147 passing yards and 261 touchdowns. Krieg was known for his toughness, his ability to throw under pressure, and his willingness to improvise on the field. His career was celebrated in 2020 when he was inducted into the Seattle Seahawks Ring of Honor.
