After a successful college career, Ragone was drafted by the Houston Texans in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He spent most of his career as a backup quarterback, playing for the Texans, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the St. Louis Rams. In 2005, he started two games for the Texans, throwing for 330 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. However, he struggled with injuries throughout his career, and in 2008, he was released by the Rams and subsequently retired from football.

Following his retirement from the NFL, Ragone began a coaching career, starting as an offensive quality control coach for the Tennessee Titans in 2011. He then moved on to positions with the Washington Football Team and the Chicago Bears, eventually becoming the Bears' quarterbacks coach in 2020. Ragone is known for his passion and dedication to the game of football, as well as his ability to teach and develop young quarterbacks. He has been a valuable addition to the coaching staff of every team he has worked for, and his future in the NFL coaching ranks looks bright. Read even more about Dave Ragone at Wikipedia
