Dave Rimington Autographs
Dave Rimington is a former American footballer who played as a center in the National Football League (NFL). Rimington was born on May 22, 1960, in Omaha, Nebraska, and was an exceptional athlete from a young age, participating in multiple sports throughout his high school career. Rimington attended the University of Nebraska and played as a center for the Cornhuskers from 1979 to 1982.
During his college career, Rimington was unstoppable on the field, earning first-team All-American honors for his performances in 1981 and 1982. In 1982, he won the Outland Trophy, which is awarded to the nation's top interior lineman. The award made him the only Nebraska offensive lineman to win it twice. Rimington's brilliant performances on the field earned him the admiration of fans, with his name becoming synonymous with the center position. This fame translated into his getting drafted as the 25th overall pick in the first round of the 1983 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, where he went on to play from 1983 to 1989, earning All-Pro honors in 1986 and 1987. He then went on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1990 before hanging up his boots for good.
Rimington's excellence in the NFL earned him further accolades, including recognition as the best center in college football being awarded the Rimington Trophy, named after him. Rimington has been inducted into the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame, College Football Hall of Fame, and the Omaha Sports Hall of Fame. He is currently the President of the Boomer Esiason Foundation, working to improve the lives of cystic fibrosis patients. Dave Rimington's football career was nothing short of legendary, and his contributions to the game will be remembered for generations to come.
