David Palmer Autographs
David Palmer is a retired American professional baseball pitcher who played for the Montreal Expos and the Atlanta Braves. Born on September 7, 1954, in Glens Falls, New York, Palmer grew up playing baseball and went on to play for Georgia Southern University before being drafted by the Montreal Expos in 1974.
Palmer made his major league debut in 1978 and spent nine seasons with the Expos, where he was known for his remarkable control and ability to throw strikes. He was a two-time National League All-Star and finished in the top ten in Cy Young Award voting twice. He played his final season for the Atlanta Braves in 1989 before retiring due to injury.
During his baseball career, Palmer held several records, including most innings pitched by a Montreal Expo and most consecutive games pitched without issuing a walk. He ended his career with a record of 104-84, an ERA of 3.66, and 49 complete games. Palmer's precision and accuracy on the mound made him a fan favorite and a respected opponent in the game of baseball. After his retirement, he worked as a coach and instructor, passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of baseball players.
