In 2003, David Tyree was selected by the New York Giants in the sixth round of the NFL draft. He played seven seasons for the Giants and became a fan favorite for his hard work and determination on the field. But his best moments came during the 2007 season when he made one of the most iconic catches in Super Bowl history. During the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XLII, Tyree caught a pass from Eli Manning while pinned against his helmet with one hand. The play, known as the "Helmet Catch," helped the Giants defeat the heavily favored New England Patriots.

After the Super Bowl win, Tyree played just one more season with the Giants before being released in 2009. He then spent time with the Baltimore Ravens before retiring from professional football in 2010. Tyree's "Helmet Catch" will always be remembered as one of the greatest moments in NFL history, and he will forever be a part of Giants' folklore. Today, he stays connected with the game through his work as the Director of Player Development for the Giants. Read even more about David Tyree at Wikipedia
