Don Majkowski Autographs
Don Majkowski, popularly known as "Majik Man," is a former American football quarterback who played for several teams in the National Football League (NFL) between 1987 and 1996. Born on February 25, 1964, in Buffalo, New York, Majkowski grew up in Michigan, where he attended Utica Eisenhower High School. He played college football at the University of Virginia, where he set several school records, including passing yards and touchdowns.
In the 1987 NFL Draft, Majkowski was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 10th round, 255th overall. He started his career as a backup quarterback, but he eventually earned the starting position in 1989. That season, he led the Packers to a 10-6 record, their first winning season since 1978. He also set a franchise record for passing yards, throwing for 4,318 yards and 27 touchdowns. Majkowski's performance earned him a Pro Bowl selection and the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.
Majkowski's career in Green Bay, however, was cut short due to injuries and a contract dispute. He played for the Indianapolis Colts, Detroit Lions, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the following years but was never able to recapture the success he had with the Packers. Majkowski ultimately retired from the NFL in 1996 with 10,870 passing yards and 66 touchdowns. Despite his relatively short career, he remains a beloved figure in Packers' history, and his legacy continues to inspire fans and aspiring quarterbacks alike.
