Dontari Poe Autographs
Dontari Poe is a former American football defensive tackle who spent his professional career playing in the National Football League (NFL). Poe was born on August 18, 1990, in Memphis, Tennessee, and began his football career in high school, where he played as a defensive tackle for Wooddale High School.
After completing high school, Poe received a scholarship to attend the University of Memphis, where he continued his football career. In his junior season, he recorded 33 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and one sack. Poe’s performance earned him the attention of the NFL, and he decided to forgo his senior season and declare for the 2012 NFL draft. He was selected in the first round by the Kansas City Chiefs as the 11th overall pick.
Poe played for the Chiefs for five seasons from 2012 to 2016, recording 13 sacks and 200 tackles. In 2017, he signed as a free agent with the Atlanta Falcons, where he played for two seasons, recording 11 sacks and 61 tackles. Poe retired from professional football in 2021, but not before leaving his mark on the sport. He earned two Pro Bowl nominations during his career, and his performances earned him a reputation as one of the most dominant defensive tackles in the league.
