Pederson began his professional American football career in 1991 as an undrafted free agent, signing with the Miami Dolphins. However, he was released after the preseason and later signed with the New York/New Jersey Knights of the World League of American Football (WLAF). In 1993, he returned to the NFL, signing with the Green Bay Packers, where he served as a backup quarterback to Brett Favre for eight seasons. During his time with the Packers, Pederson earned a Super Bowl ring in Super Bowl XXXI.

After retiring from the NFL in 2004, Pederson started his coaching career as the head coach for Calvary Baptist Academy in Louisiana. He then moved on to coach in the NFL, serving as an offensive quality control coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles, a quarterbacks coach for the Green Bay Packers, and then an offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs before being named the head coach of the Eagles in 2016. Under Pederson's leadership, the Eagles won their first Super Bowl in franchise history in 2018, defeating the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Read even more about Doug Pederson at Wikipedia
