Drue Tranquill Autographs
Drue Tranquill is an American football linebacker who currently plays for the Los Angeles Chargers in the National Football League (NFL). Tranquill was born on August 22, 1995, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He completed his high school education at Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, where he played football, basketball, and ran track. He was a standout linebacker in high school, recording 104 tackles, five sacks, and three interceptions in his senior year.
After high school, Tranquill attended the University of Notre Dame and played football for the Fighting Irish from 2014 to 2018. He began his college career as a safety and special teams player, but switched to linebacker in his junior year. Tranquill was a team captain in his senior year and led the team in tackles with 86. He was named the team MVP and won the Defensive Player of the Year award in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in 2018.
Tranquill was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He played in all 16 games in his rookie season, primarily on special teams, and recorded 15 tackles. In his second season, Tranquill played more on defense and had a breakout game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he recorded nine tackles, one sack, and one pass deflection. He suffered a season-ending injury in week one of the 2020 season but returned strong in 2021, playing in all 17 games and recording 72 tackles, five tackles for loss, and two sacks. Off the field, Tranquill is known for his charitable work and was awarded the Chargers' Community Impact Award in 2021.
