Earl McCullouch

Earl McCullouch was an accomplished American football player who played in the NFL during the 1970s. Born on January 10, 1946, in Los Angeles, California, Earl attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School, where he was an outstanding track and field athlete. He won numerous titles and set several records, including the world record in the 440-yard relay with a time of 39.8 seconds. After high school, Earl attended the University of Southern California, where he continued to excel both on the track and on the football field. He was a two-time NCAA champion and set the world record in the 110-meter hurdles in 1967 with a time of 13.2 seconds. Earl was also an All-American wide receiver for USC, and he was a member of the school's 1967 national championship team.

Earl McCullouch was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the first round of the 1968 NFL draft. He spent five seasons playing for the Lions before being traded to the San Diego Chargers in 1973. Earl played two seasons for the Chargers before finishing his career with the Denver Broncos in 1976. He was known for his speed and agility on the football field and was an integral part of the Lions' offense during his tenure.
