Eric Martin is a former American football player who was born on February 15, 1969, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He attended the Louisiana State University from 1987 to 1990, where he played college football as a wide receiver. Martin was known for his speed, agility, and excellent ball-handling skills, which made him a force to be reckoned with on the field.
In 1991, Martin was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the seventh round of the NFL draft. He played for the team for nine seasons, from 1991 to 1999, and became one of the franchise's most successful wide receivers. Martin retired from football in 2001 with an impressive record of 7,854 yards and 48 touchdowns.
