Eric Rhett Autographs
Eric Rhett is a former American football running back who played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1994 to 1997. Rhett was born on December 16, 1970, in Pembroke Pines, Florida. He attended McArthur High School in Hollywood, Florida, where he excelled in football, basketball, and track.
In 1991, Rhett enrolled at the University of Florida, where he played football for the Florida Gators from 1990 to 1993. He was a four-year letterman and played in 46 games. Rhett set the school's all-time record for rushing yards with 4,163, a record that still stands today. He was a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection in 1992 and 1993 and was also named an All-American in 1993.
Rhett was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round of the 1994 NFL Draft. He played for the Buccaneers for four seasons, during which he rushed for 2,854 yards and scored 19 touchdowns. Rhett's best season was in 1995 when he rushed for 1,011 yards and 7 touchdowns. He also had a career-high 27 receptions for 207 yards that season. Rhett retired from professional football in 1998 after playing briefly for the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns. He had a successful career in the NFL and remains one of the best running backs to have played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
