Eric Steven Weddle is a former American football safety who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 13 seasons. Born on January 4, 1985, in Fontana, California, Weddle spent his college years playing for the University of Utah Utes, where he was a three-time first-team All-Mountain West Conference selection. Weddle was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft, and he quickly established himself as one of the league's premier safeties. More about Eric Weddle

Weddle enjoyed a seven-year stint with the Chargers, where he earned two All-Pro selections and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2011 and 2013. In 2016, Weddle signed a four-year, $26 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens. He continued his outstanding play in Baltimore, earning three consecutive Pro Bowl nods from 2016 to 2018. He was also named a First-Team All-Pro in 2016.
