Erik Kramer Autographs
Erik Kramer is a retired American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for over a decade. Born on October 6, 1964, in Burbank, California, Kramer played his college football at Pierce College and North Carolina State University. In 1987, Kramer was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the third round of the NFL draft, but he wouldn't see much playing time until signing with the Chicago Bears in 1994.
With the Bears, Kramer quickly established himself as a starter and had one of the best seasons of his career in 1995. That year, he threw for over 3,800 yards with 29 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions. Kramer led the Bears to a 9-7 record and earned a trip to the playoffs. However, the Bears lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the playoffs. Kramer would continue to play a few more years in the NFL, spending time with the Detroit Lions and the San Diego Chargers, but he would never again reach the level of success he had with the Bears.
Erik Kramer's career in football was not without its challenges. In 1997, he suffered a severe neck injury during a game with the Lions. However, Kramer managed to overcome the injury and continue playing. Off the field, Kramer has struggled with depression and alcoholism. In 2015, Kramer's son, Griffen, tragically took his own life. In the years since, Kramer has become an advocate for mental health and has spoken frequently about the importance of seeking help for depression and other mental health issues. Despite the challenges he has faced, Erik Kramer remains a respected figure in the world of American football, and his contributions to the game continue to be celebrated by fans and players alike.
