Everson Griffen is a retired American football player who played as a defensive end for the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys. He was born on December 22, 1987, in Avondale, Arizona, and attended Agua Fria High School where he was named the Arizona Republic's Big Schools Player of the Year in 2006. Griffen was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He spent his entire career with the Vikings until he was released in March 2020. Griffen played in 147 games for the Vikings over ten seasons, recording 357 tackles, 74.5 sacks, and leading the Vikings in sacks in 2014, 2017, and 2019.
